Proverbs 2:12-26
When I allow foolishness and madness to rule my life the end result will be:
- I will hate life
- I will despise hard work
- I will give up easily
- I will have no rest, even at night
When I allow God to rule my life the end result will be:
- I can enjoy food and drink
- I will find satisfaction in my work
- I will gain knowledge
- I will have wisdom to know what to do with my knowledge
- I will have peace and joy
In America there is an alarming rate of suicides. People can not get a good night sleep. People hate the work they do. People hate anything that is hard to do. People give up easily. Could it be that most Americans are being ruled by foolishness and madness?
Lord, help us to come back to our senses and acknowledge that Your wisdom and ways are the best. It is when You rule in my life that I can enjoy my life, and all that You give me. I will know that You are with me in my work so that I succeed and prosper. I will gain knowledge and then have the wisdom to know how to use it. I will have joy in my life when I yield to Your Holy Spirit. I will make plans, but You will direct my steps.
