The homosexual flag now flies under the American flag. What arrogance! God will not be mocked! So get ready; it’s gonna’ get hot! Be prepared child of the Most High.
What is left of our independence? We’re back under a suffocating authoritarianism by an overpowering government in total defiance of God. Wasn’t that the reason our forefathers left Great Britain? Here’s a little history:
During the American Revolution, the legal separation of the Thirteen Colonies from Great Britain occurred on July 2, 1776, when the Second Continental Congress voted to approve a resolution of independence that had been proposed in June by Richard Henry Lee of Virginia declaring the United States independent from Great Britain rule.[5][6] After voting for independence, Congress turned its attention to the Declaration of Independence, a statement explaining this decision, which had been prepared by a Committee of Five, with Thomas Jefferson as its principal author. Congress debated and revised the wording of the Declaration, finally approving it on July 4. A day earlier, John Adams had written to his wife Abigail:
The second day of July, 1776, will be the most memorable epoch in the history of America. I am apt to believe that it will be celebrated by succeeding generations as the great anniversary festival. It ought to be commemorated as the day of deliverance, by solemn acts of devotion to God Almighty. It ought to be solemnized with pomp and parade, with shows, games, sports, guns, bells, bonfires, and illuminations, from one end of this continent to the other, from this time forward forever more.[7]
For the first 15 or 20 years after the Declaration was written, people didn’t celebrate it much on any date. It was too new and too much else was happening in the young nation. By the 1790s, a time of bitter partisan conflicts, the Declaration had become controversial. One party, the Democratic-Republicans, admired Jefferson and the Declaration. But the other party, the Federalists, thought the Declaration was too French and too anti-British, which went against their current policies.
By 1817, John Adams complained in a letter that America seemed uninterested in its past. But that would soon change.
After the War of 1812, the Federalist Party began to come apart and the new parties of the 1820s and 1830s all considered themselves inheritors of Jefferson and the Democratic-Republicans. Printed copies of the Declaration began to circulate again, all with the date July 4, 1776, listed at the top. The deaths of Thomas Jefferson and John Adams on July 4, 1826, may even have helped to promote the idea of July 4 as an important date to be celebrated.
Celebrations of the Fourth of July became more common as the years went on and in 1870, almost a hundred years after the Declaration was written, Congress first declared July 4 to be a national holiday as part of a bill to officially recognize several holidays, including Christmas. Further legislation about national holidays, including July 4, was passed in 1939 and 1941.
American seemed uninterested in its past then, a year later after the signing of our Declaration of Independence. Sounds like our day, with our government removing God and God’s Word from all parts of society.
Ready or not, it’s gonna’ get hot! God is HOT and He won’t be MOCKED!
America’s Christians are going through the fire; the fire of our faith’s testing, only there’s no place left on earth to go and start another ‘free’ nation under God, indivisible with liberty and justice for all. Nowhere! So, we are just going to have to endure the way the Lord taught us to endure, until He returns.
Christians in America will be faced with a growing persecution to break down Christianity in America showing that what we believe in – is not real or trustworthy. When a nation no longer has the High Court of Government defending the God-given rights of people, Christians will undergo extreme persecution by those who reject God and His Laws. For so many Christians, that has already happened, and been happening in areas of the world where Christianity is so despised that Christian families are being hunted and brutally killed, having no laws or courts to defend and protect them. But, we have God’s High Court and our Divine Defender of the saints: Jesus Christ. Before He left the earth He prayed:
“I have given them Your Word and the world has hated them, for they are not of the world any more than I am of the world. My prayer is not that You take them out of the world but that You protect them from the evil one. They are not of the world, even as I am not of it. Sanctify them by the truth; your Word is truth. As you sent me into the world, I have sent them into the world…..My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in Me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in Me and I am in You. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that You have sent Me. I have given them the glory that You gave Me, that they may be one as we are one: I in them and You in Me. May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that You sent Me and Have them even as You have loved Me. Father, I want those You have given Me to be with Me where I am, and to see My glory, the glory You have given me because You loved me before the creation of the world.” John 17:20-24
Why does our Father allow His children to go through persecution anyway?!
Paul answers this question: “Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.” 2 Corinthians4:16-18
Persecution works for the good – in two ways. It purifies our heart for Christ, and promotes the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
The difference between Christianity and Islam is that Islam is not persecuted because it is feared. Christianity is persecuted because it is NOT feared, as it should be feared. Therefore, God allows persecution to purify His children so that there is God’s power and authority in our lives, and with the Good News of Jesus Christ’s great salvation.
For the children of the true God, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob (Jews and Christians) persecution has always been a real part of everyday life – for the two reasons mentioned above.
What really speaks to me is how God refers to this “trouble” we go through as “light and momentary.” I get the momentary part because of God’s promise for the future, but the light part is what really speaks to me. How is losing everything you own a “light trouble?” How is being tortured unto death, or watching your child being ripped from you to be brutally killed, “troubling?” Well, in comparison to the glory that far outweighs it all – maybe we should meditate more the glory of God, get a grip, a strong hold of what our faith produces both in the Kingdom of God, and ultimately on the earth.
Then I reminded of another passage that reminds me that God will provide a way of escape when I am, or our children are, pushed to the limit, ready to deny Jesus Christ because of the fear in loss and physical pain/torment. I truly believe that God prepares His people for whatever they will go through, whether common or extreme, but we must be willing to go to the Lord with it all, and wait on Him.
We see what other Christians in the world are going through and we are immediately struck with fear and doubt. But we must remember, never forget, that God is faithful and will make good every one of His promises to His children ‘as we look to Him’ in each and every situation, even as we go through the fire of the testing our faith by Him.
As we continue to experience America’s progressive demise, may we stand firm on God’s promises, as one holy kingdom under God’s rule and government, and be faithful to do all that is ours to do for His glorious purpose. Every nation of the earth, even America, can be and will be shaken and destroyed, but the Kingdom of our Lord is unshakeable, everlasting. If we fight for anything, let it be for what will come through the fire, holy and eternal.
“Endure hardship as discipline; God is treating you as sons….that we may share in His holiness….it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it….See to it that no one misses the grace of God.” “ Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider Him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you will not grow weary ad lose heart. Just remember: In your struggle against sin, you have not yet resisted to the point of shedding your own blood.” Hebrews 12:1-11 (in parts)
“Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful. And so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe, for our ‘God is a consuming fire.’” Hebrews 12:28-29
