Christian, your present troubles are small and won't last very long, and they will produce in you a lasting glory that vastly outweighs them! So, don't become discouraged by the troubles you see now; rather, fix your gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things you see now will soon be gone, but the things you cannot see will last forever.
Satan is the god of this world, and he has blinded the minds of those who don't believe. His followers are unable to see the glorious light of God’s Good News. Their hearts have become hard so they cannot understand the truth. God gave them the free-will to choose their own course in life, and they have chosen to refuse His Good News. Therefore, they have no hope. When their lives are based on foolish assumptions, the only conclusion can be wicked madness!
