Truths

The Bible says, “ Truth sets us free!” So here are seven truths from the book of 1 John that should help you be free today.

“Jesus holds His children securely, and the evil one cannot touch them.”

“The Spirit who lives in you is greater than the spirit who controls the world.”

“This world is under the control of the evil one.”

“People under the control of the evil one speak from the world’s viewpoint, and the world listens to them.”

“The evil one gives you a craving for physical pleasure, a craving for everything you see, and pride in your achievements and possessions.”

“When you stand up for truth don’t be surprised that the world hates you.”

“Remember, this world is fading away, and anyone who does what pleases God will live forever.”

Strongholds

Our individual ‘strongholds’ prevent us from seeing things as they truly are about ourselves and about things happening; these ‘strongholds’ keep us from living our lives as we are truly meant to live on this earth with all God’s favor.

Everyone has at least one stronghold. We won’t be aware of our stronghold/strongholds/ – unless the Lord, who is the Spirit, has revealed it to you. What is the Lord’s purpose in telling us what we do not know? What is the devil’s purpose in keeping us from knowing what the Lord wants us to know?

But what is a stronghold that we need revelation about and freedom from? Whose ‘hold’ is that powerful over us, or on us? What did we come to believe that ends us up in ‘spiritual bondage,’ and even with the physical and mental problems that accompany strongholds?

Is the ‘holder’ strong enough to force us against our will? What keeps a ‘personal’ stronghold hidden from us, so that we just accept it and make the best of it, maybe even using prescription drugs each day to overcome the oppression of strongholds? Here is what one FREE man learned:

“You are God my stronghold… Why must I go about mourning, oppressed by the enemy? Send out Your light and Your truth; let them lead me.” Psalm 43:2-4

Satan lies to us and when we believe “the lie” this becomes a stronghold upon us to enslave us and hold us captive so that we won’t see “God’s Light of His Truth” which sets us free to live the life that is TRULY life! Is it any wonder the enemy works to keep people from the truth in God’s Word? The truth will set us free in every way! Truth will always condemn a lie. Light always reveals what is kept in the dark.

I am so VERY thankful for the TRUTHS of God that are mine to claim and live by, and to eagerly share with others.

“Lead me by Your truth and teach me, for You are the God who saves me. All day long I put my hope in You.” Psalm 25:5

Terror to Triumph – Part 8 – Challenges in the 21st Century

Looking back over the history of the expansion of the Kingdom of God 2000 years ago from that little obscure village in Israel, now we can see many challenges that the kingdom of God faced. Moving into the 21st century I would like to outline some of the things that we are now faced with and will be facing.

In Romans 12 we are told that we should “not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of our mind.” One of the main battles in the days ahead will be with the mind, being able to think through issues, ideologies, etc. with a Biblical mindset or Biblical worldview.

A Biblical worldview is defined as a firm belief that absolute moral truths exist: the sinless life of the Lord Jesus Christ, God is all powerful and all knowing and is still running the universe, Satan is real and that salvation is a gift from God and cannot be earned. We, the church, have an obligation to live in the light of the revealed Word of God. The Word of God needs to be brought in to everything we do in life. This will affect our choices in life style as well as our way of thinking. It will be seen in our views on worship, family, business, morality, recreation, personal autonomy, personal possessions, etc. It will bring a complete re-working over of who we are and how we live and what we do.

A pastor remarked that the mission of the church is to prepare for Christ’s return in five ways. He went on to define these five ways: prayer, Bible study, fellowship, worship and evangelism. These five things are essential, but we can never overlook our responsibility to redeem our culture. God has not called us to let this world go to hell in a handbasket. Generally speaking we define our faith strictly in terms of personal salvation, instead we need to keep in mind that we are not only saved from SIN, but saved to the task of cultivating God’s creation.

We are not only saved from sin, but we are saved to tear down the structures of sin that have created these seven global challenges: orphans or children of the world, abused women, HIV/AIDs that have decimated whole populations, poverty, lack of water, environment and protecting the unborn.

We read in  the first chapter of Genesis that in six days God created everything and in the creation of man turned over to us the task of cultivating what He created. This is called the “CULTURAL MANDATE” and is as binding on us as the “GREAT COMMISSION.”

Our faith must encompass every part of life, every sphere of work, every aspect of the world. It must be the lens on how we see reality. If God is sovereign over everything, as we confess He is, then everything finds its identity and meaning in relationship to Him not only in our spiritual life, but in our work, profession, politics, science, education, entertainment and the arts.

Since God made the world He has also put in place God-given norms that govern all that He has created – both morally and physically and just as we would not go against the physical laws (like gravity) so also with His moral laws. Like Chuck Colson said: “Moral laws tell us how to govern our behavior. Laws of logic tell us how to think clearly. Norms of justice tell us how to run a government. Aesthetic norms guide the creation of beauty and the arts. If we don’t know the norms God has ordained for every area of life, then we’re living blindly and are bound to make wrong choices – hurting ourselves and others. We’re like a person who walks into a room blindfolded and bumps his shins against the furniture.”

We need to be aware of truth and fallacy. Like A.W. Tozer said: “Truth and error travel the same highway.” In this world of moral ambiguity we need to be able to discern what is true and what is false. This will be a real battle in the days ahead.

Terror to Triumph – Part 7 – Challenges Ahead

When the original thirteen states adopted their new Constitution in 1787, this is what Alexander Tyler, professor at the University of Edinburgh, said about the fall of the Athenian Republic 2000 years earlier:

“A democracy is always temporary in nature; it simply cannot exist as a permanent form of government. A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury.

From that moment on, the majority always vote for the candidates who promise the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that every democracy will finally collapse due to lose fiscal policy, which is always followed by a dictatorship.

The average age of the world’s greatest civilizations from the beginning of history, has been about 200 years.

During those 200 years, those nations always progressed through the following sequence: 1. From bondage to spiritual faith; 2. From spiritual faith to great courage; 3. From courage to liberty; 4. From liberty to abundance; 5. From abundance to complacency; 6 . From complacency to apathy; 7. From apathy to dependence; 8. From dependence back into bondage

When we look at the Western world today we need to ask ourselves: Where do we stand at the moment? I personally believe that in the USA, we are some place between the complacency and apathy stage. What happens in the next few years might move us into the apathy to dependence stage. Western Europe is in the apathy to dependence stage.

In October of 1798 John Adams wrote the following: “We have no government armed with power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion. Avarice (greed, covetousness, materialism), ambition, revenge, or gallantry, would break the strongest cords of our Constitution as a whale goes through a net. Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.”

We will either move towards radical egalitarianism or radical individualism. The first leads to tyranny or dictatorship and the latter leads to anarchy (where everybody does what he thinks is right in his own mind).

Morality comes from a relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. This is why our founding fathers were adamant about Judeo-Christian worldview being evident in all that we do in politics, business, education, media, entertainment and our judicial system.

Listen to what some of our founding fathers said: “We Recognize no Sovereign but God, and no King but Jesus!” [April 18, 1775]

“The general principles upon which the Fathers achieved independence were the general principles of Christianity… I will avow that I believed and now believe that those general principles of Christianity are as eternal and immutable as the existence and attributes of God.”

“July 4th ought to be commemorated as the day of deliverance by solemn acts of devotion to God Almighty.” (Quote from John Adams)

Samuel Adams in a speech at the State house in 1776 of August said this: “He who made all men hath made the truths necessary to human happiness obvious to all…Our forefathers opened the Bible to all.”

US Senator Jim Demint made the statement that the architects, when building the Capitol Visitor Center in Washington DC, had left out “In God We Trust,” which Congress in 1956 established as the national motto. Instead, they put “E plurisbus unum” (out of many – one) as the motto. Senator Demint said: “There seems to be a trend of whitewashing God out of our history.” Praise God for this senator who put a hold on the bill and not letting the Center open until they had installed the correct motto.

But we see that the battle lines are being drawn that we are going to be faced with in seeing the expansion of the Kingdom of God in the 21st century and how, we, the church should be involved.

Terror to Triumph – Part 6 – The Real Threat

CENTURY OF GENOCIDE 1850-2000

Jesus said: “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. John 14:6

This is something that I wrote several years ago, but it highlights what we are faced with today in the 21st century.

Sheikh Omar Bakri Mohammad said, “The transformation of Britain into an Islamic state could come in two ways: if an Islamic state arises and invades, we will be its army and its soldiers from within. But if no such Islamic state arises Bakri said that Muslims would convert the West to Islam through ideological invasion without war and killing.” This is exactly what is happening in the West today. As one Muslim cleric said, “We do not need an army with swords, but an army of Islamic preachers.”

Sheikh Abu Hamza Al-Masri said, “Allah is the only one that must be worshiped on earth, and the only way to guarantee this is to control all the land masses, air, and sea and get Islam the proper channel to be heard by the people.” In other words, this is why Muslims must fight so that Islam can be heard by all the people.

Robert Spencer in his book Religion of Peace says, “Maududi, who is called one of the greatest revivalists of Islam in the 20th century said, ‘The truth is that Islam is not the name of a religion, nor is Muslim the title of the nation. In reality Islam is a revolutionary ideology and program which seeks to alter the social order of the whole world and rebuild it in conformity with its own tenets and ideals. Muslim is the title of that international Revolutionary party organized by Islam to carry into effect its revolutionary program. And Jihad refers to that revolutionary struggle and utmost exertion which the Islamic party brings into play to achieve this objective.’”

He goes on to say, “Islam requires that the earth – not just the portion, but the whole planet – should benefit from Islam which is the program of well-being for all humanity.” In the Islamist way of thinking, orders or commands that come from man are men sharing in the powers and the authority of God. And this, to them, is the root of all evil in the universe.

This is the reason democracy is abhorrent to them. This is interesting because we see a worldview that has been developed here. A worldview is how we screen everything that comes our way and the way we will respond to the world around us. A worldview must answer three questions.

First, where did we get the universe, all the complexity, etc? The Islamist would say God created it all and they would be right. The second question they must answer is: Why are we in such a mess? And according to what has just been said above, is that any orders or commands that come from man are tantamount to man sharing the powers and the authority of God, which to them is the root of all evil in the universe. In other words, this is why we are in such a mess. The third question would be: What is the solution? This has already been answered in what has been written, that Islam must take over every aspect of life here on planet Earth and to  instigate Sharia law.

A Biblical worldview answers these three questions by the following answers:

First, there is a God who has created all things and man has been made in His likeness and His image. Secondly, the reason man as well as the world are in a mess is because we have “suppressed the truth.” We have gone our own way and done our own thing. Thirdly, the solution is that God has given us His law in order that we might recognize what sin is, and that we have all sinned and have come under the judgment of God. However, because God loves us and in order to fulfill His justice and His mercy, He took upon Himself the form of a man (we know Him as Jesus), who lived among us, and tasted death for all men that we, through Him (Jesus), might live.

Those who advocate a moral equivalency between Islam and Christianity need to have a closer look at the difference in their worldviews. How we think is how we respond to the world around us.

Samson’s Story Timely for Our Day in America

I love reading God’s Word of HIS account of how HE uses a woman’s womb to bring forth a person He has plans to use for His good purposes.

Don’t tell me that a baby (at any stage) in the womb – is a woman’s choice to destroy! You can be sure that woman will be held accountable by God, even if not held accountable by the wicked laws of the land.

To Samson’s mother (who was barren) God said, “You are barren and childless, but you ARE GOING to become pregnant and give birth to a son.…He will take the lead in delivering My people from the hands of their enemies.” Judges 13:3-5

God knows us way before we are conceived, and He has plans for our lives; plans not to harm us, but to give us a hope and a good future.

As we know from reading the life story of Samson, he was a sinner with moral weakness, yet God knew how God planned to use him – as God Himself was with Samson even while Samson was foolishly being deceived by Delilah.

God was Samson’s miraculous strength, even being Samson’s eyes (that they gouged out) so that Samson was able to bring down their great temple on all their rulers and people there to celebrate Samson’s capture and shame. But God turned it all on the enemies of His people so that Samson’s God was feared as their god was overcome and seen for what it was: powerless and evil.

Timely for our day in America! As Samson reminds me of Donald Trump.

Terror to Triumph – Part 5

TRUTH MATTERS

CENTURY OF GENOCIDE 1850-2000 AD

In my almost sixty years of being involved in the Lord’s work in 100 different countries of the world (and some of these countries have been some of the most difficult) the Lord has shown me several things.

First, there is a need for us to always be on the offensive. I think of the words of Alfred the Great: “Give me men that can build, men that can pray and men that can fight and I will go out and build Western civilization.”

We read in Matthew 11:12: “From the days of John the Baptist until now, the kingdom of heaven has been forcefully advancing, and forceful men lay hold of it.”

The forceful men/women that Alfred The Great said that he needed are men who can build, pray and fight for what’s right. However, we need to keep in mind that we are not fighting flesh and blood, but principalities, spiritual wickedness in high places, etc. We also need to understand that our weapons are not carnal, but spiritual: prayer, the Word of God, using our faith like a shield against the devil’s arrows; all activated by the Holy Spirit dwelling in us.

God is calling us to shake the world system. How do we go about doing this? We must start with the truth. It was truth that launched American anti-slavery. The truth was simple: slavery is sin. Truth matters. Truth has the power to change people. When truth is recognized – the terms of debate change completely. We need to be able to powerfully and convincingly articulate the truth. Where we often fail is the inability to articulate the truth powerfully and convincingly.

Truth will lead to conflict and conflict will sort out our friends as well as enemies. The truth has enemies. Starting with the truth and speaking the truth is crucial. We must understand that we speak the truth in love. These two go together just like a hand and glove.

Have you ever noticed that here in the Western world you can talk about “God,” but as soon as you mention “Jesus Christ” (other than in a flippant or blaspheming way) people get so irritated? Why? Jesus is the way and the truth and the life. (John 14:6) No one comes to the Father except through Him.

“The truth,” Jesus said, “will set you free.” When a society is deeply enslaved to sin it will take the crucible of suffering to set it free. Freedom may come, but not without the cross of suffering for it.

In every society we have what is known as a “structure of sin.” Some would refer to it as “institutional sin” and often that can be confusing because people, not institutions are the sinners. However, we see that institutions play a large part in shaping the way we think which keeps us from breaking free. The institutions consist of laws, habits, customs, etc. that keep a society in the “structure of sin” that has been established. This is also one of the reasons why we are told to ‘occupy’ by bringing ‘the truth’ into these different institutions.

We are faced with seven global challenges: The sad state of children in many parts of the world, women who are abused and taken advantage of, poverty and the system that keeps them in this state, HIV/Aids (killer diseases) that has decimated whole populations in some countries in Africa, protecting the unborn, the need for clean water and our environment.

I come back to the statement that Alfred the Great made that he wanted men who could pray, build and fight. I would also like to add one more thing to this list and that is men/women who have ‘staying power.’ We need people who are in it for the long haul. We need to see that we are not in a 100 yard or 100 meter dash, but in a marathon with a finish line. If we are going to be successful in meeting the seven global challenges listed above then we are going to need people with staying power.

Discouragement and burnout are real factors in anything that we do in seeking to make a difference in this world and see the Kingdom of God advancing. This is why staying power is so important. Staying power is not passive or fatalistic, but rather hopeful and energetic.

Other than learning to pace ourselves we also need several other things. We need to learn to live a day at a time. And we need a supportive community. It takes time and effort to build good relationships, but they are a must if we want to be ‘shakers for God.’

Another important ingredient is ‘sustaining faith.’ In all that we do we need to cultivate prayer, worship, study the Word of God and learn to celebrate. Faith brings staying power.

God is constantly working in us to bring about a sustaining faith. In 1 Peter 1:6-8 Peter said, “In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials.  These have come so that your faith — of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire — may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.” We need to be running the race until we hear the final gong.

True Fellowship With the Lord

My wife and I have not attended a traditional church for years; why? Some might think we are not walking with God. Some will ask, how can we stay in fellowship without being around other believers? Some will think we have gone out on a tangent and have missed the way. Some might even think that there was a church problem in times past and that is why. I have been asked, “Do you have gifts that the body needs, why don’t you use these gifts?”

The truth is, I do not fit into the so-called traditional church anymore. The church of today is not relevant to what I see or what I am going through, and this is why I believe the traditional church attendance is down. I have been asked why not try and change it? Really? I do not have the time, desire or strength to do this. But, I have never given up on the body of Christ, just the so-called “organized mainstream traditional church,” who have sought to “establish a righteousness of their own,” (Romans 10:1-4) as Israel was guilty of and disciplined for, still being disciplined.

The traditional church of American is not prepared for what is coming. Why? They believe that God will not allow them to go through extreme suffering. Why would they think like this? Is there some place in the Bible that says that some Christians will not suffer? Could it be that they think they have not done anything worthy of suffering, or just because they belong to Jesus that He will not allow them to suffer. Ask those believers all over the world who are suffering now; those who have died, or have had the loss of wife, husband, children and parents, the loss of everything they saved and worked for their whole life. They suffer for their stand for Jesus, because they will not compromise!

What I have found – is if you want a relationship with Jesus it will not come by attending meetings, and ‘going’ to church on Sundays. It will not come by listening to someone tell you what they learned in the Word of God. It will not come by trying to live a good life. All of my “saved” life I have had a quiet time in the Bible; about one hour every morning. Now I have found that one hour is not enough. I even long for the wee hour of the morning now  (2 or 3 a.m.) so that I can spend time with the Lord in His Word and in prayer. I do not regret that I am losing sleep either, as I still go to work each day. I am not saying this to show how “spiritual” I am. I am only saying that if people want to truly know Him it requires time and sacrifice.

Certainly the traditional church leaders teach God’s Word, but there is a difference when you have the Holy Spirit talking to you from His word each morning, rather than some person telling you about God’s Word. The question is: Do you want to ‘know’ Jesus or have someone teach you ‘about’ Jesus?

1 Timothy 4 says, “Now the Holy Spirit tells us clearly that in the last times some will turn away from the true faith.” Why? The Lord says, “These people do not know Me or My words. They think their life is made right with Me by rules and regulations, but My faithful people will know the truth. My children’s hope is in Me, the Savior of all people. So don’t let anyone think less of you because you are different, but be an example to everyone in what you say, in the way you live, in your love, your faith, and your purity.”

Righteousness EXALTS a Nation

The Bible teaches that God’s chosen people, the Israelites, had zeal, BUT “zeal without knowledge” from God.

God’s wisdom (knowledge) applied keeps “zeal” working for ‘HIS’ righteousness and justice. This is what BLESSES a nation, a city, a family, anyone!

“They sought to ‘establish their own’ righteousness” and justice therefore. (Romans 10:1-4) They were punished for it. God punished them by allowing the wicked and rebellious to rule over them, and to hate them, and to enslave them, and to make them suffer in all sorts of ways. It becomes God’s way of “punishing” His people for not upholding His righteous ways and justice system. The unrighteous unjust government becomes God’s tool to discipline His people.

“No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace (justice) for those who have been trained by it…. Therefore, make level paths for yourself” by walking in the truth, in the ways and love of the LORD….”so that you can be healed.” (Hebrews 12 in parts)

How do we, a nation or even a church, “establish our own” righteousness and peace (justice)? Well, I believe we are seeing the results of it right now in our own nation as progressively (policies and education) people and especially little children are taught to go against their God-given conscience of what is truly right and wrong, and then shamed and punished by law for preserving their good conscience and clinging to their faith in God’s ways for life, liberty and love.

Needs and fears are met and relieved by what God says HE WILL DO and CAN DO for any people who will honor His Supremacy and obey His Word. Needs and fears are NOT met and relieved by our government’s long long long list of agencies paid for by enforcing tax increases which only prove to be incompetent, powerless, and corrupt in many cases.

When we look to the One and Only – HE will raise up leaders through whom His righteousness and justice can be applied and upheld, resulting in a nation being blessed by God in all sorts of ways.

Wherever God’s people live in this world – God desires to bless that place in the world – so that all nations become His disciples of peace and righteousness for God’s good-will and glory to be seen.

We’re seeing “a righteousness of their own,” with our ungodly leaders threatening our God-given rights (righteousness), making ‘righteousness’ to look like wickedness, and ‘justice’ to be injustice instead; to remove God’s ways of righteousness and justice part by part with laws and a justice system that punishes true righteousness and protects and even honors every kind of wickedness we see springing up rapidly today – which then in turn destroys a nation’s ‘exaltation’ because God no longer finds anything to approve and bless.

“Righteousness exalts a nation.” Proverbs 14:34

“Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.” Psalm 33:12

“The whole city (nation) celebrates when the righteous succeed; they shout for joy when the wicked die.” Proverbs 11:10

Father God, I pray that You will either change the hearts and minds of those who have “established their own righteousness,” convicting them with Your truth, or replace these in high places of government with Your “righteous” ones who understand Your wisdom and truth for governing this nation of YOURS. Raise up YOUR chosen leaders with Your anointing on them that protects them from any attack or threat from those who have “established their own righteousness and justice” and who are stubbornly fighting to stay in power.
Father God, keep exposing the ignorant and stubborn ways of those who keep opposing Your righteousness and justice. Keep publicly shaming their false righteousness and false justice – as You’ve been doing with their failing results throughout our nation. Let their own double standards and hypocrisy recoil back on them. Use this public exposure and shameful results, and hopefully with the justice that better be served appropriately – to teach our nation that You are Holy and Perfect in all Your ways, and that You are still the God over America by Your own ‘commitment’ to this nation at the start. For, YOU still want to use this nation for Your good purpose. In Jesus’ Name I pray!

The Proverbs 31 Woman – Chapter 49 – Enemy of Marriage and Family Margaret Sanger

Margaret Sanger – Founder of the Modern Birth-Control Movement

Have you ever wondered where our thinking comes from; that ridiculous thinking about ‘large’ families not worth the sacrifice, time, strength and finances? Where did that idea of the “perfect family” consisting of dad, mom, 1 brother and 1 sister come from? Why do most women prefer careers to raising children? Why are most women, even most Christian women, on birth control? Why is abortion protected by government law? Why do so many men walk away from their own children? Why is there so much adultery and divorce? Why do people automatically think that you are a Mormon or a Muslim if you have lots of children; that a large family is about religion? There’s a mind-set behind all this and it comes from Satan who works through men and women that he has trained to think his way and then to obey his evil will.

Margaret Higgins Sanger was a birth control ‘activist,’ as well as a sex educator and nurse. She coined the term birth control, opened the first birth-control clinic in the United States, and established Planned Parenthood. Sanger’s efforts contributed to the landmark U.S. Supreme Court case which legalized contraception in the United States. She formed the National Committee on Federal Legislation for Birth Control which served as the focal point of her lobbying efforts to legalize contraception in the United States.

She lived 86 years from September 14, 1879 to September 6, 1966. She was married twice: to William Sanger and then to James Slee. She was widely regarded as the founder of the modern birth-control movement that included abortion.

If the root is evil – so are all its branches and fruit.

Sanger took on the evil belief of “eugenics,” which is “racial supremacy;” that to have a “pure” world it needs to eliminate every type of “human waste” that burdens society. This idea came from Thomas Robert Malthus, a 19th century cleric and professor of political economy who believed that a population time bomb threatened the existence of the human race. He believed that poverty, deprivation and hunger were evidence of the breakdown of the human race and that any charity or form of benevolence towards those who were deprived only kept the “unfit” going; intensifying the problem. Sanger followed his thinking.

Eugenicists sought to purify the world by encouraging those that Eugenicists considered to be “fit” to reproduce while restricting the reproduction of those they considered “unfit.”  They set out to accomplish this through segregation, sterilization, birth control methods and abortion. Those they considered to be unfit were those they judged and referred to as materially poor, spiritually diseased, racially inferior, and mentally incompetent. According to Malthus, these “unfit” were to be suppressed, isolated and even eliminated. Malthus’ disciples went a more practical way so that their ways would be accepted by the “unfit.” They went with a scientific approach to education in the benefits of contraception, sterilization and abortion.

Eugenicist’s belief and theory on charity:

“All children born, beyond what would be required to keep up the population to a desired level, must necessarily perish, unless room is made for them by the deaths of grown persons. We should facilitate, instead of foolishly and vainly endeavoring to impede, the operations of nature in producing this mortality.

“Organized charity itself is the symptom of a malignant social disease. Those vast, complex, interrelated organizations aiming to control and to diminish the spread of misery and destitution and all the menacing evils that spring out of this sinisterly fertile soil, are the surest sign that our civilization has bred, is breeding and perpetuating constantly increasing numbers of defectives, delinquents and dependents.

“It [charity] encourages the healthier and more normal sections of the world to shoulder the burden of unthinking and indiscriminate fecundity of others; which brings with it, as I think the reader must agree, a dead weight of human waste. Instead of decreasing and aiming to eliminate the stocks that are most detrimental to the future of the race and the world, it tends to render them to a menacing degree dominant [emphasis added].”

“The most serious charge that can be brought against modern ‘benevolence’ is that it encourages the perpetuation of defectives, delinquents and dependents. These are the most dangerous elements in the world community, the most devastating curse on human progress and expression.

Oh yes, the devil is in these details! If the root is evil – so are all its branches and fruit.

Margaret Sanger built the ABCL (American Birth Control League) which later became the Planned Parenthood Federation of America, on the belief of “eugenics.”  Eugenicists financed all she did until her organizations were capable of standing on their own financially, with ‘government funding.’ The ABCL became a legal entity on April 22, 1922 in New York.  Before this Sanger operated a birth control clinic illegally in Brooklyn, New York where the clinic serviced poor immigrants (the unfit) who mostly populated the area. It eventually closed.

Here’s an excerpt of an address Sanger gave in 1926 said:

“It now remains for the U.S. government to set a sensible example to the world by offering a bonus or yearly pension to all obviously unfit parents who allow themselves to be sterilized by harmless and scientific means. In this way the moron and the diseased would have no posterity to inherit their unhappy condition. The number of the feeble-minded would decrease and a heavy burden would be lifted from the shoulders of the fit.

She wrote and published an essay (a program for public welfare) called “We Must Breed a Race of Thoroughbreds.” In it she argued that birth control clinics, or bureaus, should be established in which men and women should be taught what parenting is (by her definition) and how to breed the “fit.” She believed this was the way to “breed out” transmissible disease, mental defect, poverty, lawlessness, crime, etc….so that these “defects of society” would decrease instead of breeding like weeds.

In one of her books called The Pivot of Civilization she called out for the elimination of human undergrowth, for the segregation of morons, misfits and the maladjusted, and for the sterilization of genetically inferior races. The Negro race, in Sanger’s opinion, is an unintelligent unfit race, just like Hitler felt about the Jews. She defended and praised Hitler’s “genetic sterilization” and racial programs.

If the root is evil – so are all its branches and fruit.

She believed that she could reach the blacks through a religious appeal so they would more easily accept her birth control project, including abortion. She hired 3 black pastors to travel and propagandize for her birth-control program.

In 1929 during the Great Depression and ten years before Sanger created the “Negro Project,” the ABCL laid the groundwork for the first “experiment” clinic in Harlem, New York City. The clinic served white people as well as blacks but it was primarily established for the blacks. In her opinion the “black population” had double misery because they faced harsher conditions due to racial prejudice and discrimination then. The black population, which was 12% of New York, was segregated and so Harlem was over-populated with blacks. Because of their desperation most Negros were blind to what the clinic really wanted to accomplish; their total elimination on the earth.

Sanger believed that one way to end poverty and degradation was to decrease the population of black people as well as all the other unfit races. She convinced black civic groups in Harlem of the benefits of her birth control program by disguising it as “Family Planning” for “better health.” She convinced black leaders in Harlem to help the clinic’s work, as she put them on her advisory board and as social workers in the clinic, so that birth control would be a constructive force in the community.

So Harlem became Sanger’s first branch of her Birth Control Clinical Research Bureau.

Sanger was so convincing that Harlem’s largest black church, the Abyssinian Baptist Church, brought her in as a speaker to their congregation. But it received a lot of criticism. A prominent minister of another church within the denomination spoke out against Sanger, surprised that the pastor of that church would allow that awful woman to even enter his church. Many blacks believed birth control and especially abortion was immoral. But, for the most part, the black community became ensnared in Sanger’s web of deceit. There was even a series of articles written by blacks on the “virtues of birth control.”  (As if there are any.)

If the root is evil – so are all its branches and fruit.

In 1942 Margaret Sanger founded Planned Parenthood with the goal to create a race of thoroughbreds by encouraging more children from the fit and less from the unfit.  (With her opinion of Christianity we would be considered “unfit.”)

No matter how you want to look at it, all methods of birth control, especially abortion at any stage of pregnancy – comes straight out of hell. It’s the seed of evil with roots of evil producing branches of evil with the fruit of evil.

This is not what God had in mind when He told us to multiply and increase. He has never told us to stop multiplying either because God has His own plan for mankind’s existence. Trusting the Lord for how many children we have is a very wise thing to do. Trusting the Lord for the pregnancy from being raped is a very wise thing to do. Trusting the Lord when you hear that something is or might be wrong with the baby inside your womb is a wise thing to do. Take your fear and anger to the Creator of life and watch how He can turn things around to be a blessing instead of a curse.

No matter what you’ve heard; the earth is NOT over populated and it will never be because God controls mankind’s future. Man does not.

If you will live God’s way you don’t need man-made birth-control means. God gave woman her ovulation cycle so that there is a certain time of the month when she can and cannot get pregnant. Any woman can know when she cannot get pregnant. But, women have chosen Margaret Sanger’s way and with it have come all sorts of physical and emotional problems, and millions of deaths due to abortion and suicide.

If the root is evil – so are all its branches and fruit.

Note: Margaret Higgins Sanger has lived down (not up) to the meaning of her name: “bloody, hard ruler of expectant mothers.”
