During my time in the Word of God, I read a little note I had written in my Bible years ago that is so applicable for today. Jesus just heard that John the Baptist was beheaded by Herod Antipas (Roman Emperor). In our Lord's grief, but not wanting to be alone, he feeds 5,000 men not including women and children, which would have been close to 20,000 people. I responded to this and wrote:
“Big miracles come right after great heartaches.”
That is if you are looking to the "God of all miracles." For people who reject God, it probably is not true. For them, great heartaches are followed by deep resentment, or depression, or hopelessness, or not accepting of the need we ALL have to draw close to our Maker and Savior. Great heartaches are normal for us all, but it is in how we see them, and see 'through' them, that makes the difference.
"God performs wonders that cannot be fathomed, miracles that cannot be counted." Job 5:9
