Lord, I am overwhelmed with what I see and hear in this world. It grieves me when evil is called good and that which You call good is called evil. People treat Your word as a joke. Therefore, strengthen me to stand up for the truth. Revive me and show me the mighty power of Your word in my life! When I call for help, I know You will rescue me!
Son, I will discipline everyone with justice, for I cannot let them go unpunished. Remember that some sins are obvious, leading them to certain judgment, but there are others sins that cause trouble that will be revealed later. These sins corrupt the minds of people so that they turn their backs to the truth. To them, a show of godliness is just a way to become wealthy. Remember that when anyone desires to become rich they will fall into temptations and will become trapped by foolish and harmful desires that will ruin and destroy their lives.
So run from these evil things. Pursue righteousness and a godly life, along with faith, love, perseverance, and gentleness. Fight for the true faith. Hold tightly to the reward of eternal life with Me. Teach those who are rich in this world not to be proud and not to trust in their money, which is so unreliable. Tell them their trust should be in Me, so that they can enjoy their life. Tell them to use their money for good and not evil. They should be rich in good works and generous to those in need, always being ready to share with others. By doing this they will be storing up their treasure as a good foundation for the future; that they may experience true life.
